TRO 20W50   street racing, car racing and track day oil

Series 2000 Synthetic 20W-50 Racing Oil (TRO)
The number one choice for racers of all types of vehicles. Special synthetic base stock blend and advanced additive package provides up to four times the wear protection of other motor oils. Reduces friction for quicker engine response and increased horsepower.\

Unbeatable Lubrication and Protection in High-Performance Gasoline Engines

Engines in race cars, high-performance street cars, ATVs and motorhomes face high temperatures, vigorous engine speeds or heavy loads, each a potent stressor. AMSOIL Series 2000 20W-50 Synthetic Racing Oil offers unmatched protection for engines facing tough operating conditions.

Unbeatable Wear Protection

AMSOIL Series 2000 20W-50 Synthetic Racing Oil is specially formulated to carry the oil's wear reducing and heat transferring agents to the engine's surfaces and hold them there. By positioning vital agents where they are most needed, Series 2000 provides a degree of engine protection unavailable with any other oil.

AMSOIL Series 2000 20W-50 Synthetic Racing Oil clings tenaciously to engine surfaces, so it shields engines from start-up wear. Further enhancing wear protection, AMSOIL Series 2000 20W-50 Synthetic Racing Oil's wax-free lubricating basestocks assure rapid post-start-up lubrication.

AMSOIL Series 2000 20W-50 Synthetic Racing Oil contains powerful corrosion preventives, detergents, dispersants and anti-foam agents to protect engines from the harmful effects of water, acids, debris, deposit-forming materials and air entrained oil.

Boosts Power, Speed and Efficiency

AMSOIL Series 2000 20W-50 Synthetic Racing Oil reduces friction so effectively that virtually none of the engine's power is wasted on "drag." Its extraordinary formulation gives Series 2000 a coefficient of friction lower than that of other fine, race-formulated synthetic oils. With Series 2000, vehicles accelerate fast, attain top speeds and use fuel efficiently.

Maintains Integrity in Demanding Conditions

AMSOIL Series 2000 20W-50 Synthetic Racing Oil maintains a constant high level of performance over time because it resists the damage many oils undergo in high temperature, intense shearing force conditions.

Advanced thermal stability allows AMSOIL Series 2000 20W-50 Synthetic Racing Oil to circulate readily, thus protecting hard-to-reach areas that heat-damaged oils grow too thick to reach.

Superior shear stability allows AMSOIL Series 2000 20W-50 Synthetic Racing Oil to provide a dependable pad of protection between parts even after exposure to shearing forces that tear lesser oils apart.

APPLICATION

AMSOIL Series 2000 20W-50 Synthetic Racing Oil is recommended for applications requiring the following specifications:

MIXING AMSOIL

AMSOIL Series 2000 20W-50 Synthetic Racing Oil may be mixed with petroleum-based oils or with other synthetic oils. However, a mixture of AMSOIL Series 2000 20W-50 Synthetic Racing Oil and another oil may offer a shorter service life than pure AMSOIL Series 2000 20W-50 Synthetic Racing Oil does. AHR  SAE 60

SAE 60 Synthetic Racing Oil (AHR)
A high viscosity oil designed for high horsepower racing engines, typically supercharged and alcohol-burning or nitro-fueled, and requiring a high viscosity oil to resist the thinning effects of fuel dilution. Also ideal for motorcycles where SAE 60 motor oil is required.

AMSOIL SAE 60 Synthetic Super Heavy Weight Racing Oil is recommended for applications requiring the following specifications:

AMSOIL SAE 60 Synthetic Super Heavy Weight Racing Oil is designed for high horsepower racing engines, typically supercharged and alcohol-burning or nitro-fueled, and requiring a high viscosity oil to resist the thinning effects of fuel dilution.

AMSOIL Synthetic Super Heavy Weight Racing Oil is formulated specifically for wear protection and friction reduction in the extreme service conditions of racing.  It has been proven on-track to bring down high engine oil sump temperatures by 20 degrees F, which speaks directly to its ability to reduce friction, promote power and inhibit wear.

MOTORCYCLE APPLICATIONS
AMSOIL Synthetic Super Heavy Weight Racing Oil is formulated with a complete American petroleum Institute (API) SL/SJ/CF additive system.  AMSOIL Synthetic Super Heavy Weight Racing Oil may be used in all engines for which API SL/SJ/CF SAE 60 oils are specified.

AMSOIL Synthetic Super Heavy Weight Racing Oil is also formulated with a complete Japan Automobile Standards Association (JASO) MA additive system.  AMSOIL Synthetic Super Heavy Weight Racing Oil may be used in motorcycles requiring JASO MA oils.  Such engines include vintage and classic motorcycles, often equipped with air-cooled engines, and specifying straight grade SAE 60 oils.

HEAT STABILITY
AMSOIL Synthetic Super Heavy Weight Racing Oil is highly resistant to thermal degradation and oxidation.  Even in long-term high temperature service, AMSOIL Synthetic Super Heavy Weight Racing Oil maintains its specified chemical and physical properties, forming no sludge, varnish, deposits or acids and maintaining its specified viscosity and ability to protect and lubricate engines.

OIL CONSUMPTION
AMSOIL Synthetic Super Heavy Weight Racing Oil is highly resistant to evaporative losses, which keeps oil consumption rates low.  Low rates of oil consumption allows oil to flow freely without significant "boil-off" thickening to ensure dependable engine lubrication and protection.

CORROSION, RUST AND FOAM CONTROL
AMSOIL Synthetic Super Heavy Weight Racing Oil seals out rust, neutralizes acids and resists foaming.  Rust inhibition is especially important for engines subject to frequent short-trip operations or frequent periods of storage.  Acid neutralization protects engines from damage caused by corrosive by-products of combustion.  Foam resistance ensures protection against metal-to-metal contact and wear that occurs with foamy oils.

VISCOSITY RETENTION
AMSOIL Synthetic Super Heavy Weight Racing Oil is shear stable, so the viscosity grade that's installed in the engine is the viscosity grade that stays in the engine.  That's especially important for race engines, motorcycle engines and other engines subject to high temperature/high stress operations.  Viscosity retention ensures the maintenance of a protective lubricant film between working metal parts, which prevents metal-to-metal contact and consequent failure or wear.

APPLICATION
AMSOIL Synthetic Super Heavy Weight Racing Oil is recommended for applications requiring the following specifications:

AMSOIL Synthetic Super Heavy Weight Racing Oil is not recommended for use in cold temperature applications.

MIXING AMSOIL
AMSOIL Synthetic Super Heavy Weight Racing Oil may be mixed with petroleum-based oils or with other synthetic oils.  However, a mixture of AMSOIL Synthetic Super Heavy Weight Racing Oil may not provide as much protection as unadulterated AMSOIL Synthetic Super Heavy Weight Racing Oil.

TDR 2 cycle

DOMINATORTM Synthetic 2-Cycle Racing Oil (TDR)
This racing two-cycle oil has a performance emphasis toward high horsepower and modified racing or trail motors. Examples include snowmobiles, motorcycles, ATVs, personal watercraft, go-carts and outboard motors*. Contains higher viscosity oils for best overall protection. Contains additives for higher operating temperatures. Injector use or 50:1 premix. JASO FC, API TC
* Not suitable for long-term use in outboard motors as a TC-W3 type oil, although excellent as a race oil for short-term use where motors are periodically inspected.

  • Provides excellent film strength for high heat, high RPM motors
  • Reduces friction for maximum power
  • Recommended for use with coated or non-coated racing pistons
  • Recommended for use with exhaust power valves
  • Recommended for use with high octane racing gas
  • Burns clean to control ring sticking and plug fouling
  • Provides excellent protection at 50:1 pre-mix or in injection system

See Article: Two-Cycle Engine Applications and Lubrication Needs

DOMINATORTM, an AMSOIL exclusive formulation, lubricates and protects high performance two-cycle motors, both on and off the track. High performance motors, particularly those that are modified, operate hotter and at higher RPMs than recreational motors, and they need good oil for peak performance. DOMINATOR is engineered for racing. It has the right film strength and clean burning properties for "on the edge" operation.

Super Film Strength
High performance two-cycle motors have high compression ratios, which significantly increase combustion chamber heat and crankshaft bearing pressures. Hot combustion processes quickly burn off and evaporate light oils and cause rapid piston expansion, decreasing piston-to-cylinder wall clearances. This promotes piston scuffing and possible seizure. And increased pressure on crankshaft bearings promotes metal-to-metal contact, wear and pitting.

High heat and pressures require tough oil with better film strength and more lubricity. DOMINATOR, constructed with AMSOIL heavy synthetic oil, handles high heat better than mineral oils and provides improved film strength and lubricity. DOMINATOR reduces friction and provides an extra measure of protection against piston scuffing and crankshaft bearing wear.

Clean Burning
High combustion processes require the proper additives and oils to control deposits. DOMINATOR contains strong, high temperature detergent additives and highly pure AMSOIL synthetic oil. It prevents deposits that cause ring sticking, plug fouling and exhaust port blocking. DOMINATOR is an optimized product for severe service.

Applications (see Two-Cycle Recommendations Chart)
DOMINATOR is recommended for use in high performance stock or modified two-cycle motors, including air or liquid cooled snowmobiles, personal watercraft, motorcycles (Moto X), ATVs, and go-carts. Good for use with coated or non-coated pistons, high-octane racing fuels and exhaust power valves. Compatible with most other two-cycle oils, however, mixing oils should be minimized.

Use at 50:1 pre-mix ratios (2.6 oz. oil per U.S. gallon of gas) or as injection oil where JASO FC or API TC oils are specified. Not suitable for use with alcohol or nitro-methane fuels.

* Not suitable for long-term use in outboard motors as a TC-W3 type oil, although excellent as a race oil for short-term use where motors are periodically inspected.
