AMSOIL HDD is compatible with conventional and synthetic motor oils. Mixing AMSOIL motor oils with other oils, however, will shorten the oil life expectancy and reduce the performance benefits. AMSOIL does not support extended drain intervals where oils have been mixed. Aftermarket oil additives are not recommended for use with AMSOIL motor oils.
SERVICE LIFE
AMSOIL Synthetic 5W-30 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil is recommended for extended drain intervals in unmodified(1), mechanically sound(2) vehicles or equipment as follows:
Personal Light Truck Diesel or

- Normal Service(3) - Up to 25,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first, or longer based on oil analysis.
- Severe Service(4) - Up to 15,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first, or longer based on oil analysis.
- Replace AMSOIL EaTM full flow oil filter or Donaldson EnduranceTM ELF 7349 at the time of oil change up to 25,000 miles (other brands at standard OEM* intervals).

- Non-EGR equipped diesels - extend drain intervals up to two times (2X) the OEM* recommended drain interval or one year, whichever comes first, or longer based on oil analysis.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AMSOIL Synthetic AW Series Antiwear Hydraulic Oils are shear-stable, long-life lubricants based on high-quality synthetic oil technology. These oils are formulated with a premium additive system that inhibits oxidation to prevent acid formation and viscosity increase and inhibit rust and foam (providing smooth hydraulic operation). So why did I end up using AMSoil? The first time I heard about it was in 78 when I visited my uncle in Maryland. He pulled this can out of the freezer and showed me how easily it poured. I was using Mobil 1 then. Later I spun the rod (connecting rod) bearings in my 1990 Honda Prelude, and then in 2003 I spun the rod bearings in my 2000 Toyota Celica GTS. I rebuilt the engine myself. I put a lot of work into the engine polishing, porting, gasket matching the exhaust ports, 3-angle valve job basically new everything. It cost me about 4000 dollars in parts and countless hours of work. I was going to use the best oil.
My research showed one thing that there is only one company that prints actual test data. AMSoil prints test data in literature and on most containers showing it is superior to Mobil 1 any all others. Do you think that Mobil would sue if these were not the results of actual tests? I think they would. They did and the data is still there because it is true. If you want to read some more about the ASTM standards go to www.astm.org . So why did my engine spin it's rod bearings? Take a look at the 4 ball wear test for AMSoil TSO vs Mobil 1. Mobil 1super syn(0W-30) wears 5 (4.92 ) times more than AMSoil TSO ( 0W-30). Bottom line ? Switching to AMSOIL synthetic motor oil I got instant power and fuel savings.

AMSOIL TBI hydraulic oil is a premium lubricant designed
to biodegrade to its natural state when subjected to sunlight,
water and microbial activity. Because it is formulated
with ashless additives that do not contain heavy metals,
TBI has a very low toxicity level.
AMSOIL TBI incorporates very high-quality synthetic
base oils that provide thermal stability, even though they
are biodegradable. TBI also contains antiwear additives that

Sampling Frequency
The frequency of sample analysis from your equipment depends on the machine type, machine application and condition, operating environment and other variables. For example, many machines that operate in harsh environments, such as heavy equipment in mining or construction, require short oil sampling intervals - every 100 to 300 operating hours. However, certain power transmission systems, such as gearboxes and hydraulic systems used inside manufacturing and production facilities, require no more than quarterly sampling intervals. The following table lists generic sampling frequencies for common equipment types, and is provided as a guideline only. Additional information is available from Oil Analyzers Inc., your lubricant supplier, and the equipment manufacturer.
AMSOIL INC., in conjunction with Gerlach Trucking of Erskine, Minnesota, conducted a field demonstration of its HDD Synthetic 5W-30 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil, Super Duty Oil Filters and Dual-Gard filtration system equipped with BE-110 by-pass filtration elements.
The test vehicle was a 1995 Freightliner FLD-120 powered by a Detroit 60 Series diesel engine and utilized mainly in long-haul transports. The testing covered a two-year period and the vehicle accumulated 212,326 total miles.
Evaluation Proposal
The goals for this demonstration included showing that the use of AMSOIL Series 3000 5W-30 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil, in conjunction with the AMSOIL Dual-Gard filtration setup and SDF Oil Filters, would result in improved efficiency, reduced operating costs and environmental benefits when compared to conventional petroleum lubricants and filtration methods. As mentioned, the evaluation was conducted using a 1995 Freightliner FD-120 equipped with a Detroit 60 Series diesel engine. The AMSOIL Series 3000 5W-30 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil was sampled at the manufacturer's suggested oil drain intervals and monitored through the use of oil analysis to ensure its continued serviceability. The full-flow filtration units were also monitored and replaced at 12,000- to 15,000-mile intervals, while the By-Pass units were monitored and replaced at 24,000- to 30,000-mile intervals.

Motorcycles are prone to rust from storage, humidity and short drives. Rust can cause major damage such as roller bearing failure, uncontrolled wear, compression loss and blow-by. MIXING AMSOIL
AMSOIL Synthetic 20W-50 Motorcycle Oil is compatible with conventional and synthetic motor oils; however, mixing oils may shorten the oil life expectancy and reduce the performance benefits. AMSOIL does not support extended drain intervals where oils have been mixed.
Aftermarket oil additives are not recommended for use with AMSOIL motorcycle oil.
SERVICE LIFE
Recommended for use up to twice the motorcycle manufacturer change interval (miles/hours) or one year, whichever comes first, in engines, transmissions and primary chaincases. For Big Twin Harley-Davidson transmissions only, follow the Harley-Davidson recommended drain interval for synthetic oil of up to 20,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first. When using an engine filter other than AMSOIL Ea, change the filter at standard intervals.
For "off-road" use, change AMSOIL MCV at motorcycle manufacturer intervals. Racing or modified engines are excluded from extended drain interval recommendations. Oil changes are at the
owner's discretion.
