AMSOIL, transmission fluid, is called Torque-DriveTM ATD Castrol® manufactured a synthetic transmission fluid called TranSynd® in conjunction with Allison® to be used in heavy-duty Allison® transmissions. With the introduction of this oil, Allison® established the Technical Engineering Specification-295 (TES-295), and only operators using TES-295 oils can extend drain intervals according to Allison® recommendations in bulletin 1099C, and only those operators are eligible to purchase the Allison¨ extended transmission coverage (ETC) warranty. Although Castrol® has since made that product available to other marketers, manufacturers outside that limited sphere are handcuffed. To achieve TES-295 is virtually impossible because Allison¨ has not made the TES-295 test stand available and has not established the necessary formalized field trial protocol. Therefore, AMSOIL performed a reverse engineering process on TranSynd® to uncover its chemical make-up, and then formulated a product based on the same type of chemical technology. Our product is a TES-295 quality fluid. and is recommended as a direct replacement for TranSynd® Synthetic ATF transmission fluid in heavy duty, on and off highway automatic transmissions manufactured by Allison and require allison transmission fluid,® General Motors,® Ford transmission fluid , Voith® and ZF® or wherever the transmission fluid standards call for TES-295, C-4, Dexron ® III, Mercon ®, TE-ML 14C or Voith G-1363 .

Examples of operations that benefit from using AMSOIL Torque-DriveTM ATD transmission fluid include municipal or transit buses, motor coaches, garbage haulers, motor homes, delivery vans, emergency vehicles, school buses, dump trucks, utility vehicles, cement trucks, line haul trucks and tow trucks.

Where extended drain intervals are not specified by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), it is recommended that AMSOIL Torque-DriveTM ATD transmission fluid be evaluated with oil analysis at standard OEM drain intervals or more frequently to establish proper drain interval. Where extended drain intervals are recommended by the OEM, follow that recommendation. This includes the recommendations set by Allison® in document #1099E for TES-295 fluids.

Wear Protection
AMSOIL Synthetic Super Shift® Racing Transmission Fluid contains a robust additive system for extra protection, and its shear stable base oils prevent viscosity loss throughout its service life. Super Shift® provides long-term protection against equipment wear, even when the equipment is frequently subjected to sustained periods of applied pressure or high horsepower and high torque. Clutches, bearings and bushings last longer, saving money on transmission repairs.

Extreme Temperature Performance
AMSOIL Synthetic Super Shift® Racing Transmission Fluid is highly effective against heat and wear, reducing transmission temperature and minimizing or eliminating burned up transmissions. Its superior oxidative and thermal stability inhibits the formation of varnish, deposits and sludge so equipment runs clean. Note: AMSOIL Synthetic Super Shift® Racing Transmission Fluid is not recommended as a replacement for Ford Mercon®, GM Dexron® or Chrysler ATF+ type fluids in passenger vehicle and truck transmissions as it may cause erratic shift patterns, chattering or noise. AMSOIL is not responsible for transmission performance inconsistent with those specifications listed and where transmissions have been modified from the original manufacturer's design.
