SE ISO32/46          DC ISO 100&150           PC series

SE Series      replaces: Sullair Sullube 32® and Ingersoll-Rand SSR Ultra-coolant® replacement polyalkylene glycol (PAG) fluids

SIROCCO® Synthetic Compressor Oil (SEI) is formulated with premium synthetic ester technology. This high-quality, long-life fluid lasts several times longer in use than mineral-based oils. AMSOIL SIROCCO® Compressor Oil is fully formulated with nondetergent additives and is designed for use in rotary screw compressors and vacuum pumps. SIROCCO® effectively protects against wear, oxidation, foam and rust and has inherent lubricity and good thermal conductivity which allow it to reduce heat and energy consumption. AMSOIL SIROCCO® Compressor Oil increases operating efficiency, reducing money spent on energy, repair and maintenance costs.

AMSOIL SIROCCO® Synthetic Compressor Oil maintains performance across a wide operating temperature range. Its low pour point, high viscosity index and lack of paraffins (wax) makes it an excellent all season lubricant. At high temperatures, SIROCCO® forms virtually no carbon, allowing for clean operation. At cold temperatures, equipment starts easier and the lubricant is quickly pumped to critical components, preventing lubricant starvation and excessive wear. SIROCCO® Compressor Oil also resists water to prevent damaging oil/water emulsions, allowing for longer lubricant life and ease of water removal from the sump.

PERFORMANCE FEATURES

• Compatible with polyglycol fluids such as Sullair Sullube 32® and Ingersoll-Rand SSR Ultra-coolant®
• Biodegradable under the CEC-L33-A94 standard safety advantage

AMSOIL SIROCCO® Synthetic Ester Compressor Oil has higher flash, fire and auto ignition points than competitive petroleum oils. Its resistance to carbon formation and the ashless additive system minimize the incidence of deposits acting as ignition-promoting hot spots. Although AMSOIL SIROCCO® Synthetic Compressor Oil increases fire safety, it cannot be considered nonflammable.

APPLICATION RECOMMENDATION
AMSOIL SIROCCO® Synthetic Compressor Oil is a multi-viscosity oil meeting the requirements of 5W-20. It may be used in applications calling for either an ISO-32 or ISO-46 compressor oil or coolant. It is recommended for use in single and multi-stage rotary screw compressors and vacuum pumps that call for this viscosity.

When installing AMSOIL SIROCCO® Compressor Oil, it is recommended that the old oil be thoroughly drained and if warranted, the system cleaned. If a lot of carbon or residue is found on the internal compressor parts, follow the manufacturer's recommendations for removal prior to installing the new oil. AMSOIL SIROCCO® Compressor Oil has a high level of solvency and may remove deposits left in the system. Check the filters and oil/air separators regularly for the first 500 hours of operation and replace as necessary.

AMSOIL SIROCCO® Compressor Oil is compatible with and recommended as a replacement for much higher priced polyalkylene glycol (PAG) compressor oils or coolants such as Sullair Sullube 32® and Ingersoll Rand SSR Ultra Coolant®. No flushing is necessary when changing over from Glycol Coolants to AMSOIL SIROCCO® Compressor Oil. However, draining the system and changing the filters is recommended.

AMSOIL SIROCCO® Synthetic Compressor Oil is recommended for use up to 8,000+ hours for most compressor applications. However, this is subject to operating conditions and maintenance practices. Monitoring by oil analysis every 1,000 hours is recommended.

Synthetic Compressor Oils are long-life, premium compressor lubricants based on novel, proprietary technology. They improve compressor efficiency and extend drain intervals in reciprocating (piston) compressors and vacuum pumps where high discharge temperatures or carbon build-up are a concern.

AMSOIL DC Synthetic Compressor Oils incorporate the highest quality, thermally-stable synthetic esters fortified with premium non-detergent, ashless additives for maximum protection at high temperatures and pressures where petroleum lubricants typically break down.

Improves Compressor Efficiency
AMSOIL DC Synthetic Compressor Oils are designed to prevent hard carbon deposits on valves for greatly improved compressor efficiency. Valve maintenance is extended and recompression is virtually eliminated. Compressor efficiency is improved, heat is reduced and money is saved through lower electrical energy consumption.

Reduces Wear
Unlike other compressor oils, AMSOIL DC Synthetic Compressor Oils are anti-wear fortified. They help reduce wear in high contact regions for increased compressor life and efficiency.

Extends Oil Life
AMSOIL DC Series Compressor Oils combine the inherent oxidation resistance of synthetic esters with highly potent oxidation inhibitors. They last several times longer than petroleum oils, effectively reducing maintenance and waste oil disposal costs.

Reduced Oil Consumption
The low volatility, highly polar nature of AMSOIL DC Synthetic Compressor Oils reduces the amount of oil needed for cylinder lubrication compared to petroleum oils. Drip feed rates can be lowered, downstream oil is minimized and money is saved on make-up oil.

Resists Water Contamination
Water from condensation builds up in compressors that can cause oil/water emulsions, environmental discharge hazards and rust. AMSOIL DC Synthetic Compressor Oils readily separate from water, and they are anti-rust fortified. Water can be easily drained off for simplified environmental discharge and increased oil life.

Safety Advantage
AMSOIL DC Synthetic Compressor Oils are ashless, high flash point formulations with very low carbon-forming tendencies that minimize the incidence of ignition-promoting "hot spots." While DC Synthetic Compressor Oils can provide improved fire safety, they cannot be considered non-flammable.

APPLICATION RECOMMENDATION
The appropriate viscosity of AMSOIL DC Synthetic Compressor Oil is recommended
for use in rotary vane and reciprocating compressors and vacuum pumps. Drain intervals of 8,000 hours or more can be expected under normal operation. This is subject to operating conditions and maintenance practices. Monitoring by oil analysis is recommended.

Compatibility
DC Synthetic Compressor Oils are compatible with petroleum and most other synthetic-based lubricants (not compatible with polyalkylene glycol or silicone oils). For best performance, AMSOIL recommends the compressor be thoroughly drained and cleaned if needed prior to the installation of DC Synthetic Compressor Oils. If carbon deposits are present on the internal components, it is recommended they be removed following the manufacturer recommendations. For the first 500 hours of operation, check the filters regularly and clean or replace as necessary.
